2012年7月14日，杨帆骑着一辆长江750挎斗摩托车，开始了他的环球旅行，同时寻找和他一样生于1990年10月5日的人，拍摄生于同一天，却各自完全不同的文化背景、异域生活和人生梦想。经过两年半的努力，一万三千公里的追寻，杨帆共找到了23个和他同年同月同日生的人，最终进入纪录片中的有17人，分别来自蒙古、俄罗斯、芬兰、越南、冰岛、爱沙尼亚、波兰和比利时。这些“另一个我”中有热爱重金属的孤儿，有刚失恋的浪漫女孩，有多才多艺的说唱歌手，有莫斯科时尚前沿的调酒师，有爱写诗歌的叛逆女孩，有妥瑞氏综合症的患者，有学校赛车队的工程师，他同时也是冰岛大学生的掰手腕冠军。他们有的还在大学深造，而有的已经开始了在社会上的打拼，甚至有的已经当上了妈妈。他们有着相同的人生起点，却有着不同的命运走向，性格和思想也大相径庭，透过同一个生日的人这扇窗口可以窥见人生的丰富多彩。...。Just over 40 years ago, marriage in China was arranged by the state.
