一座平静的海边城市，沉默孤独的少女桐岛佳叶子（市川実日子饰）是当地女子高中的高三学生。她因性格原因受到同学们的孤立，每日沉浸在空寂落寞的情愫中，不知未来将在何处。或许因这同样的境遇，同班的远藤雅美（小西真奈美饰）引起了佳叶子的注意。雅美高二时曾休学一年，她仿佛超脱于世外，既为周遭所不容，也不在意他人的看法。佳叶子出于好奇，慢慢地走入雅美的世界。雅美全心接受了这个孤独的朋友，她所热爱的画作、音乐和蔚蓝的大海为佳叶子打开一扇幻想的大门。两个纯洁的女孩友情不断加深，彼此都在对方心中占据着重要的位置…… 本片根据魚喃キリコ的同名漫画改编，并荣获2002年莫斯科国际电影节银圣乔治最佳女主角奖（市川実日子）。。After the death of their adoptive mother, a shy butcher and his drama queen twin sister leave the UK and adventure to Australia in search of their biological mother, but the local townsfolk of Two Heads Creek are hiding a dark secret: the pair must reconcile their differences to fight for their lives in this playfully dark comedy-horror.。
