民国初年，北方盘龙镇来了一神秘男子巡城马。抢山贼银票的姚氏藏于巡城马投宿的房中被山贼误为一伙，追杀中，由胡某救下，为报恩须十二天内安然将四个木箱送至给匪头焦龙原来胡已捉去姚家人，巡城马见日落姚未归，前去搭救，才知道他们送去的是屠杀革命党人的……。Try as he might, the roguishly handsome Cliff Starkey, just can't keep out of trouble. In his sleepy home town on the English coast, nothing much inspires him...apart from bowls. Cliff has always preferred to play by his own rules much to the disapproval of the regimented, elderly bowls fraternity.
